I just want to point out as a fellow PCMR that traditionally we get the fancy new tech first but it doesn't hit the mainstream until consoles get it. Happens all the time, it's just the way the industry works. If the next gen of consoles doesn't get some sort of raytrace support (very doubtful) it'll probably come in a mid-gen refresh like HDR did this gen. Only then will you see most mainstream games supporting it.

Who fucking cares about 60fps or 4k? It's always the gameplay which is most importend for a game. I could have played the Witcher on a snes and it would have been still awesome. Played on PC with Controller coz keyboard sucks at everything which isn't a egoshooter or strategy game.

i don't know man, i can't Play anymore under 90fps (144 hz g sync Monitor). If it's a game with locked refresh rates, i can only Play it with a Controller, everything else feels like Cancer.

DXR. RT 3 games.. still rtx gpus perform better with dxr but is it worth for 3 games and the impact on performance?... unless you got a beast of a gpu like 2070/80/80 ti..

Rtx is kinda garbage at the moment anyway, I’m sure it’ll get better but right now there’s not much difference between rtx and good non-rtx lighting engines

Consoles are NOT 4k 60fps and ray tracing is not 1/10th as important for games as we know them as nvidia is playing it up to be.

Ray tracing is a fucking mess at this point. In order to get over 100fps on supported tripple A games you have to lower the quality. I prefer 1080 or 1440 on ultra with no ray tracing. This gets me over100 fps consistently. Its still to early to say ray tracing is useful. Its a gimmick at best for now. More games needed and better optimisation. Otherwise its too expensive on performance and am not willing to sacrifice nice frames for a slightly better look.
